Highway Maintenance Works Contract
Ringway Jacobs are the only provider who has maintained a presence in the Capital since the conception of TfL in 2002.
The current contract commenced in April 2007, for a minimum of six years, extendable to 2017.
The TfL central contract includes the delivery of all highways
related maintenance activities on some of the most heavily trafficked
and high profile urban roads in the UK. The contract is innovative in
its approach to many elements including co-location, sustainability, the
environment and the use of SME’s from the local community.
We work in co-located offices and depots, chosen with our clients
approval and have invested in systems and technology to drive cost
savings in our operations, together with providing enhanced data capture
and streamlined processes. We carry out the full range of services,
including but not limited to:
- Routine, cyclical and planned maintenance
- Design and construction of improvement schemes
- Provision of emergency call-out service
- Winter maintenance
- Street lighting design and maintenance
- Management and repair of damage by third parties
- Safety and service inspections and repairs where necessary
- Maintaining TfL asset and information management system
- Provision of traffic management for others
- Maintenance of soft estates and weed control
- Removal of animal carcasses
- Removal of graffiti and detritus from assets
