Safe Drive Stay Alive

Safe Drive Stay Alive The Transport for Buckinghamshire Road Safety Team has just finished hosting ‘Safe Drive Stay Alive’ (SDSA) dramatic presentations for teenagers at Milton Keynes and the Wycombe Swan.

SDSA is in its 6th year now. Last year we had the 50,000th student through the door and it has grown from 8 performances over 4 days to 16 performances over 8 days. The Road Safety Team at TfB has been involved from the very beginning as part of the steering group, helping to direct, promote, deliver and evaluate the project.

Over 13,000 students, teachers and individuals attended this year’s Safe Drive Stay Alive events across the region. Approx 3,000 of them were from Buckinghamshire establishments who attended shows at Milton Keynes and The Wycombe Swan.

The Road Safety Team were present at both venues and Sarah Rana from the Commercial team did the final presentation, summarising all that had been said during the show. Sarah was very professional and did an excellent job, taking on the role with much enthusiasm.

Students are encouraged to comment on the shows via facebook and Twitter and the responses have been very positive.
