Administrator - Streetworks Inspections

To support and co-ordinate the work of the Streetworks Technicians in achieving compliance with all aspects of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004 and associated Codes of Practices, as it affects Buckinghamshire’s highway network
Under the direction of the Senior Streetworks Technician, overseeing the procedures associated with Statutory & Private Undertakers and TfB highway works under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), and the Highway Maintenance Act 1980 including:
To record inspection records for sites in accordance with the National Code of Practice for Inspections, when requested.
To ensure that the National Specification for Reinstatements of Openings in the Highway has been adhered to.
To liaise with Statutory and Private Undertakers as necessary.
To ensure the requirements of the Buckinghamshire Roadworks Permit Scheme are adhered to.
To be responsible from recording Technician whereabouts and task management depending on location and urgency.
To assist the Senior Streetworks Technician with process compliance of Technicians and accurately recording any failures.
To collate Technician responses and up to date site information following site inspections and pre start meetings.
To perform administrative duties in relation to meetings with Statutory Undertakers, programmes, traffic management plans and co-ordination of works.
Contribute to the development of corporate policies and procedures relating to NRSWA / TMA activities within Buckinghamshire.
To assist in Permitting and Noticing when required at the request of the Senior Streetworks Technician.
Consider applications for Licences and Permits, where appropriate, to Conduct Street Works and Install Apparatus. Attend site meetings as required and assist in the issue of Licences when approved by the Licencing Officer.
To be aware of and implement relevant quality and performance standards.
To adhere to all Health and Safety requirements of TfB and to take an active and engaged approach to Health and Safety.
To act as an ambassador for Transport for Buckinghamshire at all times.
To carry out any other task requested by the Senior Streetworks Technician commensurate with the level of the post.
