The role will work within the Applications Support Team of Ringway Jacobs IT Department to support applications to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes throughout our user base. Responsible for interaction with local operational teams, corporate IT, client IT and Elected Members when required.

Fully support and coordinate the Ringway Jacobs IT services where required.


To provide functional support for a range of business applications ensuring efficient resolution of issues along with communication with the user.

Identify opportunities for system improvements in order to continually improve the service provided.

Liaising with other team members to identify and implement best practises to drive improvements to local systems and application support across the business.

Work with suppliers to resolve support issues.

Liaise with the Service Delivery team and wider Application Support team to enhance and improve service.

To ensure new software releases are thoroughly tested prior to release into the production environment.

Ensure all issues raised are recorded and updated in the RJ ticketing systems through the issues lifecycle.

To develop and maintain all appropriate documentation for the systems being supported

The creation & maintenance of new & existing training materials.

To arrange and support the rollout of IT training as appropriate.

Actively promote the company’s commitments in relation to environmental awareness and sustainability.

Skills and Experience

A level, HNC educated, or equivalent experience including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths

Demonstrable experience in ICT or business solutions.

Experience of Microsoft Dynamic 365

Proven ICT support skills.

Proven system management skills.

Proven excellent written communication skills

Knowledge of ICT industry developments

Required to be mobile and therefore a FULL, CLEAN driving licence and use of car if not provided

Ability to prioritise own work to support business priorities.

Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally.
