Description

To lead the DM Design team, in line with Ringway Jacobs company values, delivering excellent services whilst fostering collaborative relationships with Clients and stakeholders alike. Delivering annual programmes of work for Development Management & Integrated Design schemes. Managing and delivering Technical Audits & design checks, on time, to budget and to the right quality, with a drive to continually improve.   


Responsibilities

Overall design check & Technical Audit responsibility for the Design & Works packages issued through to the Client.

To provide clear and robust leadership to the DM design team to ensure that staff are clear of their direction, motivated and that productivity is monitored and maximised.

To collaborate with and work alongside Jacobs Reach back team to Deliver Technical Audits & design checks on behalf of Central Beds Council.

Responsible for the appropriate application of technical design standards, processes and regulations and any departures from them.

Development of annual programmes of work, scheme estimates and resource schedules to deliver the programmes of work.

To assist in the development, implementation & monitoring of processes and procedures that achieve client and business key performance indicators.

To promote safe working practices in accordance with Ringway Jacobs Health & Safety Policy and to lead by example demonstrating commitment for zero incidents.

Support client’s objectives and maintain strong relationships based on trust and integrity.

Actively seek growth opportunities through assisting CBC with grant funding initiatives or through developing external opportunities (including shareholder opportunities).

Maintain and uphold financial and commercial governance in line with company and contractual procedures and maintain and achieve compliance to recognised accreditation.

Performance Management.

Develop and engage a suitably trained and qualified team to deliver against contractual and internal performance indicators as necessary.

Carry out other reasonable tasks, as requested by your line manger


Skills and Experience

Ensure all schemes are managed and delivered in line with the agreed programme and costs.

Adhere to corporate processes, policies and procedures ensuring consistency throughout local teams

Working with the Supply Chain to ensure levels of service in terms of quality and safe working practices are maintained to a high level and compliant with standards/legislation.

Through leadership, ensure that your objectives are adequately cascaded and supported by your team.

To maintain and enhance the reputation of Ringway Jacobs by encouraging and demonstrating our core value of integrity.

To promote and value our culture of continual improvement while complying with our Business Management System policies and procedures.
