Description

Senior Manager responsible for the Network Control Room, Safety and Service Inspections, Permitting, Asset Data and Management functions.


Responsibilities

A member of the Senior Management Team with strategic input into the planning and running of the LoHAC contract and the Network Management team.

Overall leadership and management of the Network Control Room and response to emergency incidents on the Central and North East TfL Contracts, including any borough contract frameworks.

Overall responsibility for the provision of highways safety and service inspection regimes including but not limited to; highways safety inspections, street lighting night scout; road studs service inspections; congestion charge signage inspections; and low emission zone signage service inspections.

Overall responsibility for the updating of TfL asset management systems for maintenance, schemes (internal and third party) and cyclical activities.

Overall management responsibility for the co-ordination and permitting of emergency, maintenance, and scheme related activities on the TLRN.

Attendance of various meetings internal and client meetings representing Ringway Jacobs.  

Line management responsibility for Control Centre staffing managing staff rota etc.

Line management responsibility team of circa 31 employees.

Strong inter-personnel skills and line management ensure that set objectives are achieved/exceeded.

Attend to any other reasonable management requests from the Contract Director.


Skills and Experience

Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Strong management and leadership skills.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Experience of Highways Asset Management systems.

Experience in Highways Maintenance related activities such as incident response, permitting, asset management and safety inspections.

Knowledge of Highways & NRSWA Acts, including London Permitting Schemes, Lane Rental and Well Maintained Highways.

Commercially aware and good risk management skills.

Analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to show continual improvement and exceed KPI targets.

Experience in Highways Maintenance term services is essential.

Experience in being a Network Manager is essential.

Experience in leading multiple teams is desirable.

Experience in Senior Management within the Highways industry is desirable.
