Description

To proactively manage the supply chain in all areas of maintenance work, putting them to work in a safe and efficient programme of planned and reactive maintenance, cyclical and emergency work and provide resilience in the management and supervision of internal works.


Responsibilities

Managing and developing the programme of cyclic, planned and reactive works delivered through our supply-chain partners.

Ensuring work packs are produced in a timely and effective manner; all health and safety information, CDM information and supporting details are available to produce accurate requisitions and purchase orders.

Ensure timely delivery of works, meeting and exceeding contract key performance indicators

Produce and input Traffic Management Assessments

Conduct and write up site safety audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Provide resilience to the internal works supervisors, aiding and covering where required.

Carrying out any other reasonable duties required by line management.


Skills and Experience

A passion for our 24/7 industry where OOH working and winter maintenance duties will form part of your role.

Good computer skills including a sound working knowledge of word, outlook and excel.

Excellent communication skills.

Punctual, flexible demonstrating a can do, will do attitude.

Safety at Streetworks Supervisor.

5 years proven experience in a managerial role within the Highways Sector.

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A-C including English and Maths.

Full clean driving license.

Full clean Class 2 driving license with an interest in taking up a role within the gritting teams.

Experience with contract communication programmes such as CEMAR.

Chartered or member of a recognised institute(s)

HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering
