Description

Reporting to the Structures Supervisor. The purpose of the role is to assist and support the Structures Supervisor in the management and stewardship of all county owned highway structures through the delivery of the structures revenue budget.


Responsibilities

To be part of the Highway Structures team responsible for the management and delivery of services in line with the business plan. Working under the direction and guidance of the Structures Supervisor and a Structures Maintenance Ganger.

Undertaking structures maintenance works in accordance with Health and Safety, method statements, risk assessments, good practice and Ringway Jacobs policies and procedures.

Ensuring vehicle / driver logs are completed where a vehicle driver.

Providing information to allow the updating of the structures works records.

Assisting in the inspection of structures.

Providing general support to structures office team.

Delivery of business plan objectives.


Skills and Experience

A broad practical knowledge of contraction and maintenance techniques in areas such as brickwork, carpentry, reinforced concrete and painting.

An understanding of the principles of safety and environmental management.

Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of ways to a wide range of people to enable projects to be completed.

Driving Licence.

Ability to deal effectively with peers, client representatives and the general public.

Self-motivation.

CPC driver qualification card.

Specialist Plant experience.

Traffic management experience.
