Description
The Trainee / Graduate designer will be undertaking the design of New Development schemes across the Ringway Jacobs / Ringway Contracts. You will also learn how to check lighting schemes received by developers. As you continue within the company you will get involved with Highway lighting works and you will be assisting the team engineers on other projects. You will be trained up to become a fully qualified lighting engineer.
Responsibilities
Providing design for lighting schemes
Delivering of highway lighting schemes in a safe and economic manner.
Supporting the Lighting Engineers
Review of incoming lighting designs
Skills and Experience
BSc / MSc focused on Lighting design or Degree/ HND/C in Electrical or Computer Aided Design.
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Excellent Report Writing and Presentation Skills
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word and Excel.
Highly IT competent
Experienced user of AutoCAD or other CAD design packages
Full Driving licence
Good communication skills (written and verbal). Able to communicate clearly and appropriately within the company and with clients.
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to plan, coordinate and organise a range of activities.
Ability to organise and prioritise work to meet conflicting work demands, targets and deadlines.
Experience in electrical cable design
Experience in Lighting reality
Experience of working in a technical street lighting environment
Knowledge of CDM Regulations
