Ringway Jacobs wins CIHT Collaboration Award for third year running

Ringway Jacobs has won the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) Collaboration Award, formerly CIHT Partnership Award, for the third consecutive year. This year Ringway Jacobs won the award for its Cheshire East Highways partnership with Cheshire East Council having won in 2016 with Transport for London for the delivery of the Cycle Superhighway 2 Upgrade and in 2015 with Essex County Council for the delivery of the Essex Highways partnership.

The year’s award recognises Cheshire East strategic partnership which for the past six years has provided an integrated highways service focused on customers, localism, effectiveness and efficiency. Working as one team with Eurovia Specialist Treatments and Jacobs, Cheshire East Highways achieved accreditation to BS 11000 for Collaborative Business Relationships in March 2016. 

Of the ‘Working together in Cheshire East’ entry, the Judges commented: "It was a relationship that was highly commended in 2015 and has clearly demonstrated that collaborative behaviour has developed to deliver a range of key outcomes for the people of Cheshire East. It demonstrates the continual improvement that can arise from a maturing, collaborative approach."
