The management and users of local community centre, the Chappell Centre on Leek Road, Congleton arrived to find a new surface on their car park this week. Ringway Jacobs and their supply chain partner S Dodgson Ltd were able to help at no cost to the centre as part of their corporate social responsibility programme.

Rev David Taylor, Team Rector of the Parish of Congleton (also a director of the Chappell Centre and committee chair of the adjoining Village Hall) and centre managers, Anne and Katie, were delighted and extremely grateful for the help with the car park, saying ‘It’s a wonderful completion to the centre which we couldn’t afford.’

The community facility has a meeting or conference room on the upper floor, which Cheshire East Highways often use, particularly for our monthly safety meetings, and a community lounge downstairs open for light refreshments Tuesday – Friday 9am-2.30pm. Anne added ‘Groups that hire our facilities really help support the running of the building for the benefit of our community.’
