Drone survey delivers innovation

The Major Projects Team at Essex Highways has used a drone to survey the proposed Chelmsford North East Bypass scheme, the first time the technology has been used by highways engineers in Essex. 

With 360 degrees images and video, this technology allows us to improve our decision making due to the highly detailed, up to the minute data. It also improves safety, as it reduces the need for risky inspections, particularly near structures.
