Essex Highways raising money for charities

Proving their culinary skills, Essex Highways cake bakers raised more than £380 for the contract’s chosen charity, The Essex Air Ambulance. Almost 20 cakes of every imaginable shape, size and colour were judged for their presentation, creativity and taste, with all entries being sliced up and sold off to County Hall staff and visitors.

Essex Highways also held its annual Christmas charity buffet and raffle, raising £325 for the Homeless Action Resource Project (HARP). Now in its third year, the event is enthusiastically supported with food and raffle prizes, all matched by donations from their supply chain partners.
