Essex Highways shortlisted for four Highways Awards

We're delighted that work delivered by our Essex Highways teams has been shortlisted in several categories at this year's Highways Awards.

We are pleased to share that work delivered by our Essex Highways teams has been shortlisted for four categories at this year’s Highways Awards.

The annual awards celebrate individuals, teams and organisations that are making a meaningful contribution to the UK highways sector. With an unprecedented number of entries submitted this year, being shortlisted in four categories is a significant achievement.

The Harlow LCWIP 9 scheme has been shortlisted for two awards: Small Project of the Year and Active Travel Scheme of the Year. The £2 million project delivers a new walking and cycling corridor linking the Pinnacles industrial area with Harlow Town Centre.

The team behind the Priority One Surfacing Programme has been shortlisted for Team of the Year, recognising the fast-paced delivery of £25 million of highway network improvements across Essex.

Essex Highways, the strategic partnership between Essex County Council and Ringway Jacobs, has also been shortlisted for the Highway Partnership Award.

These shortlistings reflect the strength of our collaboration with partners, particularly our client Essex County Council, and our shared commitment to delivering high-quality services that have a positive impact on local communities.

Congratulations to all individuals, organisations and projects shortlisted for a Highways Award. A special mention goes to Iain Maiden from our shareholder Jacobs, who has been shortlisted for a Lifetime Achievement Award.

We look forward to celebrating at the awards evening in London this September.
