Local Charities Benefit from Health and Safety Reporting

Each year, Ringway Jacobs is proud to donate £1 to charity for every near miss reported by our employees. Near misses, which are events that do not cause harm but have the potential to cause injury or ill health, can raise awareness of health and safety by encourages employees to always be thinking about safe ways of working.

During 2019, 5,365 near misses were reported, which means that we have donated an impressive £5,365 to local charities chosen by each of our five contracts. The charities benefiting are:

Central Bedfordshire Highways: Keech Hospice Care

Cheshire East Highways: Community Recycle Cycles

Essex Highways: Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

LoHAC: Mind

Transport for Buckinghamshire: Pace Centre
