Ringway Jacobs Celebrates its 1000th Employee

Ringway Jacobs, one of the UK’s leading highways service provider working with local authorities, is celebrating the recruitment of its 1000th employee.

The Chelmsford based company started delivering its first contract in London in 2007. Since then it has continued to go from strength to strength, growing sustainably, especially over the last three years and is now delivering major integrated highways management and maintenance contracts across the UK in Buckinghamshire, Cheshire East, Essex and North East London.

As well as delivering innovative, industry leading services for its clients, Ringway Jacobs is also committed to investing in young and disadvantaged people, helping them to develop careers within the highways industry. The company  is a member of ‘The 5% Club’, an organisation that its members have pledged that over the next five years at least 5% of their workforce will be made up of young people on structured training programmes such as apprenticeship and graduate schemes. Currently 9% of the Ringway Jacobs workforce is made up of apprentices and graduates, making them the market leader in employing young talent.

Mike Notman, Managing Director of Ringway Jacobs said “It’s a great achievement to reach our 1000th employee and I am delighted in the company’s growth and how we have developed over recent years. We pride ourselves on the relationships we form with our local authority clients and how, through shared goals, we deliver our client’s objectives for their local community. The future looks extremely promising for Ringway Jacobs and I look forward to our continued success.”
