Quick response at Finsbury Park after festival

Ringway Jacobs was commended by Haringey Council staff for our quick response to replace tarmac at Finsbury Park after the iconic Wireless Festival which took place at the beginning of July.

The festival, celebrating its tenth birthday is one of the biggest in the country, with tens of thousands of revelers attending. World famous performers such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Rudimental and OutKasts were the main attraction over the weekend. Finsbury Park is well-known for staging notable world famous music events and in the past has seen the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Oasis and the Arctic Monkeys performing.

After the event, areas of the park required emergency works to ensure it was brought back to a safe standard. Ringway Jacobs offered a fast response to ensure the park was back to its former glory and ready for the Routemaster 60 event which took place the following weekend. Routemaster 60 celebrated 60 years of the Routemaster bus and coincides with TfL’s 2014 celebrations for the Year of the Bus.

Colleagues from Haringey Council Parks department praised Ringway Jacobs’ fast response which was “very much appreciated” and said “thanks for the speedy and excellent work undertaken by Ringway Jacobs on Wednesday night to repair damaged blacktop surfacing after the recent concert.”

Finsbury Park is a place where everyone in the community can play sports, relax or enjoy the breath taking scenery. I am pleased that we were able to offer such a robust and efficient service to ensure the park was ready for the Routemaster 60 event. Likewise, 2014 is the Year of the Bus, so it was important that we did our utmost to ensure that Finsbury Park was in the best possible condition for such a significant event.”
