Ringway Jacobs teams shortlisted for six Highways Awards

Teams from Essex Highways and Cheshire East Highways have been named finalists in six categories at the Highways Awards 2026.

Teams from Essex Highways and Cheshire East Highways have been named finalists in six categories at the Highways Awards 2026, recognising their commitment to innovation, collaboration and delivering better services for local communities.

The shortlisting highlights the breadth of work being delivered across both partnerships, from major infrastructure projects and the use of innovative technology to operational excellence and the development of future talent.

The finalists are:

  • Highways Partnership of the Year – Essex Highways Partnership: Recognising the strength of the collaborative relationship between the client and delivery partner, and the positive outcomes being achieved for the highway network and local communities.
  • Major Project of the Year – Essex Highways, Harlow Sustainable Transport Corridor: Recognising the delivery of a major scheme designed to improve connectivity and encourage more sustainable travel.
  • Digital Transformation and AI Award – Cheshire East Highways, Smart Roads, Safer Networks: Transforming Highways with AI Video Intelligence: Highlighting the innovative use of technology and data to improve highway management and create safer networks.
  • Operational Team of the Year – Cheshire East Highways: Recognising a team focused on customer service, performance, innovation and consistently delivering beyond expectations.

There is further reason to celebrate for Cheshire East Highways, with two colleagues, Bailey Colman and Chloe Lyons, both shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year. The category recognises the talent, commitment and development of individuals who will help shape the future of the highways industry.

The nominations reflect the importance of strong partnerships, working closely with clients to understand their priorities, share expertise and introduce innovative solutions that deliver meaningful benefits for customers and communities.

Whether delivering major transport improvements, making smarter use of technology or managing the day-to-day operation of highway networks, Ringway Jacobs remains focused on helping its clients provide safer, better-connected and more sustainable highways.

Congratulations to all the teams and individuals shortlisted. The winners will be announced at the Highways Awards ceremony in London on 23 September 2026.
