Transport for Buckinghamshire wins Asset Management Award

Transport for Buckinghamshire has won ‘The Asset Management Customer Service Award’ at the Institute of Asset Management Awards.

Their ‘Improving Customer Service through Collaboration’ entry was judged the winner for making a step change in improved customer service by focusing and engaging elected Members and executive management on asset management principles. The result is a far better customer journey as well as genuine improvements in their highways asset.

The Institute of Asset Management (IAM) is the international professional body for asset management professionals. The IAM develops asset management knowledge and best practice, and generates awareness of the benefits of the asset management discipline for the individual, organisations and wider society. Established in 1994, the IAM has over 2,700 members and a network of over 30,000 people globally.

Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) is very pleased that the hard work and collaborative approach from both Officers and Members has been recognised by such a well-respected, professional body. The Award builds upon the recognition TfB’s Asset Management approach has through their achievement of ISO 55001 Accreditation and the very real benefits of achieving Band 3 DfT Incentive funding.
